Birth Ready - Late Pregnancy Herbal Tea
Ah, the last month! The home stretch, kind of.
You're getting big, feeling excited, a bit nervous and at times uncomfortable.
You're also making noises that are new to your repertoire.
You're exploring the obsessive tendencies of nesting and the surprising calm and delight it brings.
You're thinking more and more about the birth. You're wondering if and what can be done to help prepare your body leading up to the big day.
Enter, women's wisdom and her traditional birth herbs.
What is it?
The Birth Ready blend helps nourish the pregnancy and support the body with uterine tonics as it prepares for labour and birth.
Suitable from 36 weeks, can also be sipped on during labour!
The actions of the herbs used in this blend are:
- Diuretic (gentle and safe variety)
- Parturient/Partus Preparator
- Nutritive tonic
What's in it?
Contains: Alfalfa (Medicago sativa), Dandelion Leaf (Taraxacum officinalis), Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca), Nettle leaf (Urtica dioica), Peppermint leaf (Mentha piperita, Raspberry leaf (Rubus idaeus), Rosehip shells (Rosa canina), Squaw Vine (Mitchella repens)
100% Australian Certified Organic ingredients. Naturopath formulated.
How to use
This tea is suitable from 36 weeks onwards.
For optimal effects drink 3-4 cups per day.
May be served warm, cold or iced. Add honey and/or lemon to taste if you wish.
It can be used up until labour begins and even throughout labour, particularly the prelabour and early labour stages.
As you reach the last weeks of your pregnancy, you may begin to feel the 'cumulative effects' of the labour prep herbs (e.g. Raspberry Leaf and Squaw Vine). This may result in an increase in Braxton Hicks contractions/tightenings - a great sign!
Unsure of which size to order? This may help.
